Join our team - InspiringFifty is looking for an intern

Are you passionate about technology and looking for your first step into a career? If so, we’re looking for an intern who can help support the Inspiring Fifty team and you might be just who we’re looking for!

We are a non-profit organisation that aims to increase diversity in tech by making female role models in tech more visible. In the past we’ve co-hosted an event with the UK Prime Minister’s office at 10 Downing Street, and an event in The Hague attended by Queen Maxima and Prime Minister Mark Rutte of the Netherlands, as well as events with our partners across Europe, in South Africa and Canada. We’ve also launched a fictional novel called The New Girl Code designed to highlight to girls between 9-15 years old that a career path in tech is exciting and cool.

You will support the team on all our projects. This will include liasing with media, event organisers, our partners, ambassadors and our inspirational role models. You will be our social media champion and make sure our website is always up to date. You are they key contact for the ambassadors in each country and support them in setting up InspiringFifty in their country or region. For the next 6 months specifically some of the things on the agenda:

-          Setup and execute social media strategy

-         Support the lauch of Inspiring Fifty across several countries and lead InspiringFifty Europe

-          Roll out of junior Inspiring Fifty

-          Launch book in US

-          Support the roll out of a speaker platform

We hope you’re enthusiastic and motivated, a great multi-tasker, proactive, entrepreneurial, love social media, work well on your own as well as in a team, and are good at written and spoken English.

What are we looking for?

  • Interest in social media, good English writing skills and an eye for detail.

  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Power Point, Word.

  • Should be confident in working with web editing through Squarespace

  • Self-starter, optimistic and willingness to do

  • Eager to learn and contribute 

  • Able to contribute ideas and confidence to speak up

  • Up to six months commitment
